Remove and Replace Art Panels
Tools required:
- Safety gloves.
- A set of suction cups
Access to Internal Plumbing
- The main panel to remove is the lower panel, located on the left side of the Serial Number sticker.
- For older units without access, please contact us.
Remove the Art Panel
- Fit suction cups near the top corner of the art panel.
- Apply a quick pull to release the panel from its frame.
Replace the Art Panel
- Insert the Panel: Place one side of the panel into the frame.
- Secure the Lower Corner: Push the lower corner on the opposite side into the frame.
- Position the Panel: Gently bump the panel about halfway into the frame. *
- Insert the Top Corner: Place the top corner into the frame, holding it steady with one hand.
- Secure the Panel: Bump the remaining portion of the panel into place.
* Tip – For lower panels, use your knee to hold the panel in place to prevent it from springing out.
Filter Change
Tools required:
- Set of suction cups
- Safety gloves
- Replacement filter
Art Panel Removal
- Identify the Panel: The main panel to remove is the lower panel, located on the left side of the Serial Number sticker. For units with a fountain, the panel will be beneath the fountain or the lower of two fountains.
- Remove the Panel: Refer to Remove and Replace art panels for instructions.
- Inspect for Spiders: Check the unit for any spiders or pests before proceeding.
Replace the Filter
- Water Supply: Turn off and release any pressure via an outlet.
- Remove the Filter: Twist the filter to detach it from the filter head.
- Check the Strainer (if present): Remove the cap, inspect for any buildup, and clean if necessary. Securely replace the cap.
- Install the New Filter: Twist into place.
- Water Supply: Turn on and check for any leaks
- Flush the Filter: and recheck for any leaks.
Refit the Art Panel
- Refer to Remove and Replace art panels for instructions.
Final Checks and Cleaning
- Check Operation: Ensure everything is functioning properly
- Clean the Unit: Regular cleaning helps keep the unit looking its best and encourages use.
- Clear Drainage Cage: Check for debris in the drainage cage and clean it out if needed.
Adjust Water Flow

Tools required:
- Set of suction cups

Remove Art Panel
- Identify the Panel: The main panel to remove is the lower panel, located on the left side of the Serial Number sticker. For units with a fountain, the panel will be beneath the fountain or the lower of two fountains.
- Remove the Panel: Attach suction cups near top corner of art panel and pull quickly to release the panel from the frame.
- Inspect for spiders: Check unit for any spiders or pests before proceeding.
Read the Meter
- Lift the Meter Dial Cover: Locate and open the cover to access the meter dial.
- Read the Meter: Black and white dials indicate kilolitres. The layout may vary, but kilolitres will be prominently displayed but separate from lower values.
- Replace Art panel: Refer to previous instructions.
General Cleaning
Tools required:
- Sponge
- Bucket
- Microfibre drying cloth
- Mild dishwashing liquid
Hard Water Stains and Metal Parts:
Cleaning
- Prepare Cleaning Solution: Add a small amount of dishwashing liquid to the bucket, and fill with water.
Tip – Fill the bucket using the bottle fillers on your unit. - Wash the Unit: Use the sponge to wash down the unit, drainage cage plates, and dog bowl.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse the cleaned areas with fresh water.
- Dry the Surface: Use a microfibre cloth to dry the unit, leaving it streak-free and shiny.
Hard Water Stains
- For metal parts, CLR remover can be applied to address hard water stains.
- Avoid contact with art panels. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with clean water to prevent damage.
Remove Graffiti
Tools required:
- Diggers Green Power Graffiti Removal (tested and proven to be the most effective product)
- Mild dishwashing liquid
- Microfibre cloth
- Sponge
- Bucket
Graffiti Removal
- Apply Graffiti Remover: Following instructions on the back of the bottle, spray the affected area and let it soak for 5 minutes. Avoid scrubbing, as this can cause damage.
- Prepare Soapy Water: Add a small amount of dishwashing liquid to a bucket and fill it with water.
- Wash the Panel: Use a sponge and soapy water to gently wash down the art panel.
- Rinse and Dry: Rinse the panel with clean water and use microfibre cloth to dry.
Important Note
The art panels are laminated with anti-graffiti film. To prevent damage, avoid using abrasive pads or harsh chemicals.
