Reimagine Your School’s Drinking Water Station This Reconciliation Week

Is your school fountain due for an update?

This Reconciliation Week, there’s an opportunity to do more than just replace your old-school trough. You can transform it into something that celebrates culture, tells a story, and inspires students every single day.

Drink from a Story

Every drop of water tells a story, of Country, community and connection. Turn your drinking water station into a powerful symbol of culture, sustainability, and learning.

A Canvas for Culture

Schools across Australia are embracing the opportunity to turn everyday hydration into something deeply meaningful. By featuring Aboriginal artwork on drinking water stations, schools are creating visible acknowledgements of culture and celebrating the stories that flow through Country.

Art that Connects

Modern drinking water stations support healthy hydration and sustainability. But they can also be a platform for cultural education and community pride. Especially when wrapped in beautiful Aboriginal artwork.

In collaboration with renowned Aborignal Artist Luke Penrith, from the Wiradjuri, Wotjobaluk, Yuin, and Gumbaynggir Nations, 6 pieces were created for Civiq customers. Each piece represents a connection to Country and the importance of water in sustaining life and tradition.

Celebrate Your Local Community

Many schools are taking it a step further and collaborating with local Aboriginal artists to create custom artwork for their drinking water stations. These partnerships celebrate local identity, honour First Nations voices, and bring reconciliation into the everyday school experience.

Imagine your students seeing their community’s stories and symbols reflected every time they fill their bottle. It’s practical. It’s beautiful. And its visible commitment to respect, understanding, and cultural learning.
